Grant
materials are available through this website in Adobe Acrobat PDF
format. To read these applications you must download the free Acrobat
Reader software and install it on your computer. Then go to the
page for the grant you wish to apply for and click on the links
to download and display the application guidelines and application
form.
You
may either print the grant application form, then fill it out, or
you may fill it out online, then print it. If you choose the latter
method, please note that you cannot save the data you enter into
the form but will need to re-enter the information the next time
you open the form. Here are some tips to save you time and effort
in filling out these online forms:
- Carefully read the instructions that accompany this grant application,
and gather together the information necessary to complete the
application.
- If you are entering large amounts of text, you can edit the
information in a word processing application and, when you are
done, copy it from the word processing application directly into
the PDF document. To do this:
- edit the text to your satisfaction
- select the text in your word processor,
- select Copy under your word processor's Edit menu
- open the grant application form in Acrobat Reader
- click your cursor in the field into which you'd like the
information to go
- select Paste from Acrobat Reader's Edit menu
- Fill out and print selective pages only. You can select the
pages you wish to print in the print dialog box that appears when
you click to print the document. The print dialog will allow you
to enter a range of pages to print. For example, if you have completed
and wish to print out pages 2 through 5 of the grant application,
in the print dialog enter 2-5 under Page range.
- Do not close the PDF document until you have proofread the pages
you've printed out and ensured their accuracy. If you find an
error, you will be able to edit the PDF document and reprint the
page.
Once you've printed all the pages and they meet your satisfaction,
double-check the Application Checklist to make sure you're not leaving
anything out.
