Bob Burns

Bob Burns has been with the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council as Program Director since 1997. Through this work, he has learned much about incorporating the arts into the daily lives of individuals and communities by providing leadership, advocacy, grants and services. Bob is also chair of the board for the City of Saint Paul's Cultural STAR Program to promote economic growth in Saint Paul by strengthening the arts and cultural sector and by supporting Downtown Saint Paul as a vital cultural center.

Prior to his work at MRAC, Bob held various administrative, management and leadership positions with Children’s Theatre Company, Minnesota Opera, Music Box Theater and Penumbra Theatre. He is also a musician, recording engineer, and producer, and plays keyboards for the local rock group, the Flamin' Oh's.
